Discreet sex toy delivery and ownership
Plain packaging is only part of discretion. A courier notification, a bank statement or a shared drawer can each reveal a purchase.
The box
Ask whether the outer packaging is plain, with no product name, brand or imagery, and whether the return address names the seller. A packing slip visible through a window can undo a plain box.
The statement
The billing descriptor is the text that appears on your bank statement. Ask what it says before you buy. It is set with the payment processor and usually cannot be changed for a single order.
What a courier can see
A courier sees the address, the weight and the size of a parcel, not its contents. Tracking messages come from the carrier and go to the phone number or email it holds.
If a signature is required, someone at the address has to sign. In a shared building that matters, so check the delivery options before you order.
Email and notifications
Order emails can appear on a lock screen. Check whether a seller names the product in the subject line, and consider an email address that only you read.
At home
Store a device clean, dry and in its own bag or case, away from shared drawers. Charging cables and companion apps can also reveal a device, so keep apps behind a passcode and check whether they show notifications.
What no seller can promise
Discretion at your end is outside any seller's control: a shared address, a housemate who opens post, a partner who reads statements, or a parcel locker notification.
What a seller can offer is a plain box, a published billing descriptor and email that does not name the product. Those are the three things worth confirming.
